Getting there

Our house is located 16 km south of Pangani on Tanzania’s northern mainland coast.

Flights from Europe

The more expensive flights from Europe are with KLM and Swiss Air directly to Dar es Salaam. The cheaper options are Emirates or Quatar Airways to Dar via the Gulf states. There are charter flights to Mombasa and Zanzibar.

Local connecting flights

You can fly in from Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar or Arusha to Pangani Kwa Joni 20 (min away from our house). Daily flights with Coastal Aviation and Safari Airlink (approx. 150 USD per person one way).

Taxi transfer

We can arrange for airport pick up in Dar es Salaam airport and transfer to Ushongo (approx. 7 hours, 350 USD one way). The trip is quite enjoyable, as you pass through Saadani Game Reserve and several villages. Most guests take the taxi for going and book a flight for the return. Another alternative is to fly to Zanzibar, take a taxi to the Northern tip of the island (Kendwa Rocks near Nungwe) and then take a speed boat to Ushongo. We can also arrange for pick up from Mombasa airport.

Services
Rates include bedsheets & towels and the services of one private maid and a night guard. Our maid can prepare simple dishes. If you want her to do all cooking we can arrange for an extra maid for cleaning. Our gardener can show you around and prepare fish barbecues.
