Rates include bedsheets & towels and the services of  a maid and a night guard. Our gardener can show you around and prepare fish barbecues.
 

Special Service "Chef & Shopping"

Relax and get pampered by our staff.  We do all the shopping and you find filled fridges upon your arrival. Our chef will prepare the meals you want (meat & fish dishes, seafood, vegetarian, salads, fruit platters). We send you a shopping list with all the items that are available. You choose. we buy fresh fish and seafood whenever it is available.

Getting there

Our house is located 16 km south of Pangani on Tanzania’s northern mainland coast.

 

Flights from Europe

The more expensive flights from Europe are with KLM and Swiss Air directly to Dar es Salaam. The cheaper options are Emirates or Quatar Airways to Dar via the Gulf states. There are charter flights to Mombasa and Zanzibar. From Zanzibar you can conect by boat (see below)

Local connecting flights

You can fly in from Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar or Arusha to Pangani Kwa Joni with Auric Air and Coastal Aviation The airfield is 15 min away from our house. The ticket is approx. 200 USD per person one way.

Taxi transfer

We can arrange for airport pick up in Dar es Salaam airport and transfer to Ushongo (approx. 7 hours, 350 USD one way). The trip is quite enjoyable, as you pass through Saadani Game Reserve and several villages. Most guests take the taxi for going and book a flight for the return. Another alternative is to fly to Zanzibar, take a taxi to the Northern tip of the island (Kendwa Rocks near Nungwe) and then take a speed boat to Ushongo. We can also arrange for pick up from Mombasa airport.

Emayani Lodge offers boat transfers with a speed boat. There are other boat shuttles with slower boats. Contact us for details. ​
